I interviewed at Timberland Partners (Minneapolis, MN)
Interview
There were many behavioral based interview questions related to skills for that specific job. There were also questions about goals and aspirations. It was a very in depth process with various rounds.

Question 1
Tell me about a time you worked with an irate customer.
They use Motivational Based Interviewing. (MBI) Do your research and be prepared to attempt to put a positive spin in very negative questions/situations. The questions seem intended to bring out negativity but they are looking for positive responses.

Question 1
Tell me about a time you dealt with a difficult co worker?
Thank you for your feedback. Motivational Based Interviewing is a style of interviewing that allows us to focus on more than skill alone. We understand that not all situations can be resolved in a favorable way. What we find important is that with each obstacle encountered some action was taken to result in an outcome. Not all outcomes will be desirable and some will present learning opportunities for growth and development. If you have the right attitude and passion to take the action we are here to help you with the skills!
I applied through other source. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Timberland Partners (Minneapolis, MN) in Mar 2015
Interview
1st Interview - Meet with the Regional Manager.
Assessment - Personality and Skills
2nd Interview - Meet with the Regional Vice President.
Offer/Denial
The offer/denial can take a while as there are several signatures that are necessary before an offer can be officially presented. They will also sometimes have you meet with the team members you would be managing to ensure compatibility with the team and culture.

Question 1
What if I told you that you are overqualified for the job?
Thank you for your review. We know that talent is in demand, and four weeks is too long for an interview process. We aim to hire a candidate within 30 days of posting the position.
