The process started with HR reaching out to schedule the first round. After confirming availability, the interview was set up.
First Round (with Hiring Leader)
Interviewer: Team Leader
Duration: ~1 hour
The interview focused on two main areas:
Past Experience: The interviewer asked detailed questions about my resume. The focus was on how I identified problems, built solutions, executed plans, and measured results.
Case Questions: The interviewer presented product-related scenarios tied to the role. For example:
If TikTok’s ad CTR is 30% lower than a competitor’s, how would you analyze the reasons?
If users want to change the background of their photos, how would you design the workflow as a PM for an ad product?
The case questions emphasized structured problem-solving and product sense rather than “right” answers.
