I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at TikTok (New York, NY) in Feb 2019
Interview
First interview went smoothly and learnt allot about the company. The second interview unfortunatly I could not say the same.
The interview was online video call. The interviewer appeared to be using her phone instead of a laptop with poor quality and sound, slouched on a sofa wearing what I can only assume was casual/workout clothes. When I was answering questions she seemed distracted quite a lot of the time and just kept repeating the word "interesting" to my answers. This had the opposite affect and made me feel so was in fact uninterested.
Four weeks have passed with no update and quite frankly if this is the way they treat potential employees I cannot imagine what it's like to be an employee.
Although I have not had an update I will be declining an offer if one is made like several other people on here.
Hr called me, asked me a few questions, intro, why you leave your current company, are you actively looking for new opportunities etc. The interview progress is smooth, and pass me to hiring manager round very smoothly.
5 stages, very long process but they do it quickly if they want you. good compensation, very good benifits. the interviews are also not horrid, they ask reasonable questions. oh my god why does it need to be so long
The interview process for the Account Manager role at TikTok was straightforward and professional. It began with an initial recruiter screen, followed by a more technical round focused on account management. The team provided clear insights into their structure and expectations, making the entire experience feel organized and transparent from start to finish.
