Interview
I was told that the total number of rounds go up till 6-8 based on my interview performance.
The first round was telephonic for about an hour with questions on professional experience and SDLC. Second was an online round where a task was given to gather data by posting right questions to a BOT and completing the solution.
Third round was a face to face round were the task was to explain a project that we did in detail like a case study and how as a BA we approached the requirements.
The 4th round was the craziest round.
The HR informed that it will be a role-play kind of round with interviewers posing as clients and providing a problem statement for which the BA will have to ask right questions and provide a solution.
My observation on this round -
1. The interviewers (or so called Clients) were not open with solutions and rather focused on getting only the answer they expect which deviates their original statement that any solution to their problem statement, with proper backing would be accepted.
2. The round more and more looked like some sort of REJECTION round and the interviewers were not really looking at any valid points presented.
3. The feedback given to the HR was that the BA was sticking to a point which they thought was not valid. But the role of a BA is to stick to his/her opinion/solution and do well to justify the same. But the interviewers didn't agree to it.
The overall process was very long and though people say the tougher the interview process, better the company performance, I didn't see the interview process focused enough to test a candidate, rather its just a process to pose questions to candidates with no proper end result and no clear purpose.
The case study provided was a vague statement which in a practical scenario will not be the problem statement what the BA faces.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
I have a grocery store and I need to expand my business. Provide solutions to address this problem statement.
2 rounds of interview - one of them would be case study. Mostly on previous experience and scenario based questions. Case study round would be more of actual BA roleplay
Great interview experience. Quick responses, feedback was given timely after each stage. The interviews itself were very engaging, very smart and prepared people, asking challenging but fair questions. I loved the cultural interview.

Interview
4 rounds - 1 with HR, 1 technical assessment (conversation where they assess your BA theoretical + situational knowledge), 1 case study, and 1 cultural and leadership interview. The entire process took about 1 month.
Overall a fantastic experience; one of the most enjoyable interview experiences I've had. Next steps were always clear and came quickly (within 1 to 2 days), so you never really have to be in limbo for long. Interviewers were also very genuine and kind - they really want to get to know you and assess your fit for the company. They're also very helpful with answering any questions you may have, which really helps in understanding whether Thoughtworks is right for you.
