I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Thoughtworks (Chicago, IL) in Feb 2019
Interview
- Recruiter Call
- Remote pair programming
- Onsite Pair Programming
- Technical Demo or Presentation
- Behavioral with HR
- Leadership Interview
Overall good process.
But be specific about the role and the salary range before you start the process. They will try to trick you with brand name and technology work etc... trying to find some illogical reasons to bring down your salary... Their offer is a real crap - not even up to industry standard! They showcase all incentive involved with their travel job as benefits - which is rediculous!
Also, heard from interviewers they now started long term contracts, maintainance work etc... Social justice is just a PR stuff after it's founder sold it!
Make sure you have the right role and salary before start process and accepting the offer.
Hi and thank you for your detailed review. I'm sorry that our offer did not work out for you. With regard to our social justice work, we have a large number of internal programs and work in this space but have not always been consistent (or loud) about sharing the stories our SJ work with the rest of the world - we're working on that!
I wish you the best of luck in your next role!

Difficult interview
Application
I interviewed at Thoughtworks
Interview
It was difficult but very good. Multiple interviews but not silly problems or algorithms. Very focused on real world examples. I think that just doing the interview process was great.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Lots of questions on real world examples and architecture of complex systems.
The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Thoughtworks
Interview
Three Technical Levels, One Managerial.
It will be 1:1 followed by panel interviews.
Interview is not very much tough. But they will expect more exposure on system design and people management.
No value for honesty here. Use polished interview answers.
If you try to be honest about your past experiences, they will reject you.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
They have a github repository with partial endpoints. They will ask you to implement a new functionality.
Challenging project you had been so far.
Rest all from your experience.
I applied online. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Thoughtworks (Bengaluru) in Feb 2020
Interview
The first round was very good. They'd given a competitive test that really explored the programming and analytical skills. The second round however was not so cordial. It was evident in the first 10 minutes that the interviewer was faking it. He pretended to not understand anything even though I was explaining everything in plain simple English.
