Interview
I initially submitted my resume to Cognolink during a college career fair, and received an email about three weeks later asking to set up a phone interview. The phone interview was very general, focusing on goals and how I dealt with transitions, what my ideal job was and if I had research experience. I was contacted to set up time for a Super Day the next day, and the HR rep was very helpful - he even called the evening before my Super Day interview to answer any last minute questions.
At the Super Day, I arrived feeling prepared with my research on Cognolink and their case studies. However, the questions themselves were mostly about YOU. The first interview was about an hour to an hour and a half long, with two senior research members. It was very goal-based, asking how I had achieved goals in the past, asking questions off my resume, and finished off with a fairly simple case study. The second interview was also with two senior research members, but was more casual and just about forty-five minutes long. It was more about prioritization and time management. Both interviews allowed for plenty of time for questions.
I came out of the interview not feeling like I definitely had this in the bag, and sure enough, I received a call 24 hours later to let me know that there was no offer for me. Disappointing, especially since they had seemed very eager about my research experience.

Dont let them trick you into thinking this is an actual research position. You will be cold calling people most of your day. The interview process is relatively simple, first spoke with a recruiter who passed me onto an in-person round. I never heard from them after that.

Had an interview for Forum role in Hongkong. Straightforward interview. The recruiter was very pleasant and nice, she was very professional. Prepare for your understanding of the role, although she was very nice in explaining the role in details, you knew it’s a major concern if you have no idea about the position youre applying. She also provides transparent feedback which I really appreciates. Not all companies or recruiters do the same. I always see this recruiter in job fairs and she’s overall nice and very accommodating. I would recommend trying an interview as it will change your perspective about the company and the role.

Firstly, HR called me, asked me basic questions and said there will be another interview with the Hiring Manager. The HR was really nice. Then I was mailed about the details about the interview and I was well prepared and excited about it. In the interview, the manager will ask you the most basic HR questions and won't even show any interest when you answer them and expect that you'd answer something extraordinary outside of your resume. I don't get it when the role doesn't align with the resume, why would you shortlist in the first place? Or have better questions to know the candidate. It was a time waste, I gave all the answers honestly I was well prepared for the questions they asked. Still they didn't take me without giving any feedback. I expected a lot more from this company honestly.
