I went through a multi-stage interview process that included several conversations with leadership, HR, and cross-functional stakeholders, followed by an onsite visit. The team itself was professional, engaged, and the discussions were thoughtful—particularly around strategy and growth.
However, the overall candidate experience lacked consistent communication and follow-through. After the onsite interview, where expectations were set around timing for feedback, there were delays and a lack of proactive updates. This created uncertainty, especially given the level of time and preparation required for the process. Then the "feedback" was that they had decided to go "in a different direction" for the position, which was vague and unclear after the time efforts/interest invested.
Additionally, administrative items such as expense reimbursement were slower than expected, which added to the overall impression of disorganization on the operational side.
Overall Impression:
Strong people and interesting opportunity, but the process would benefit from clearer communication, better timeline management, and improved candidate follow-up—especially at the final stages.
