I had a negative experience during my phone interview with the HR person at The Tutorverse. If you are reading this and will interview with them, be ready to explain omissions from your resumé (even non-relevant work experience) I understand that interviewers often play devil's advocate in order to evaluate a job candidate's resolve; however, this interviewer went beyond that by interrogating me twice about my decision to apply for this role. During the phone interview, I discerned that there was a strange power dynamic at play based on social markers. I e-mailed The Tutorverse expressing my concerns about my phone interview. I also stated my wish to withdraw from the application process. The Tutorverse didn't acknowledge that they received my update; I never received a reply. That surprised me, but I accepted it, because silence, like words, can express a lot. Again, if you're reading this and you're about to interview with The Tutorverse, do stay discerning.
