I applied online. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at The Travel Academy (Eagan, MN)
Interview
So, the new CEO took part in the interview, long story short, he's a crazy person. He had unrealistic goals for a 30 hour a week (what they proposed to me) position. He expected an unrealistic growth in the company, they had 4 classrooms (only 2 of which they were actively using) and he wanted to be the number one technical institute by the time this review was written (they're still in the same building at this point.) He also claimed they were against for-profit universities, then he said they were the University of Phoenix of technical schools, which is well known as the worst for-profit university in the business. The other interviewer seemed incredibly beleaguered and depressed and had mentioned how different his job was before the new CEO bought the company. After the interview I was apprehensive, which was not helped when they sent me a follow-up email address to another person.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
The one that really stuck out to me was when they asked for a test of my skills, had nothing prepared, then later sent me an email, and they had the wrong name. I don't mean my name was misspelt, no, it was the wrong name, they clearly were copy-pasting text or either didn't know who they were emailing. To top that off, my name is on my email.
Per our investigation, this review is a fraud. We have have only interviewed 1 individual for this position and we hired this individual that has worked for us for almost a year now.
