I applied through LinkedIn and was invited to interview a few days later. Since there was no immediate availability, I scheduled the interview for the following Friday. 15 minutes before the scheduled time, the interview was canceled with no advance notice. I only received a short message apologizing for the inconvenience and letting me know I would be moved to the next step.
That next step turned out to be a timed assessment, which I had not been told about beforehand. The test included basic cognitive questions like shapes and simple math, along with personality style questions using responses such as yes, sometimes, or not really. The test was timed and you were not expected to finish, just answer as many questions as possible.
A few days after completing the assessment, I received a rejection email. While the test itself was not difficult, the overall experience felt disorganized and poorly communicated, especially given the last minute cancellation of the interview.
Clearer communication and better planning would go a long way in improving the candidate experience
