The interviewer was impatient, inflexible, impersonal, rude, and egregiously inexperienced. The interviewer does not seem to understand the meaning of “beta software”, and was expecting to see a completely furnished product despite the software being only in beta stages. It is also apparent the interviewer does not know what area you specialize in or how things work when it comes to technical programming.
The interviewer was not at all interested in your experience or what you do. Though my resume clearly indicated my skillls and what I can do, the interviewer insisted on asking me to show work on things I have not included in my resume. It seems the interviewer did not at all bother to look at their recipient’s resume before doing the interview.
Nonetheless, I digress, because there might be things that were left out of the resume, but the interviewer clearly had no technical/programming experience to understand what was shown, and appeared to have been judging the work based on how “beautiful” it looks. Not to mention the interviewer was grumbling when asked to share my screen (when clearly they asked for this) because apparently, they now have to do “extra work”. If you are planning to ask for technical details during the interview, please make sure you at least know enough to ask. Putting someone entirely inexperienced in technical coding to do coding assessment only endeavors to waste everybody’s time.
Overall, I would not recommend applying for this company.
