I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at The Investor Machine (Los Angeles, CA) in Apr 2023
Interview
Went through the whole process, made it to the second stage and they canceled 10 minutes before my scheduled video interview because they suddenly realized I lived in California and they didn’t want to pay the benefits… despite the job being open to “Remote United States”. It was extremely unprofessional and I got no replies to my emails after. Don’t waste your time with them.

Interview
1. The interviewer was uninterested in connecting with the applicant. He did not bother to open his camera nor asked if we would like to have our video on for the interview. He even excused himself for a few minutes then went straight to the questions without building rapport first or explaining the agenda or giving details about the role/company etc.
2. In a span of 30 minutes, he had a list of questions, asked each one of them then replied with "sounds good" every single time. He was monotone and sounded uninterested throughout the call. It was never a conversation, just a checklist that he went through with me for 30 minutes.
3. When he finished the questionnaire, He told me he would get back to me if I am selected, without asking if I did have any questions first. I interrupted and politely asked if he can answer my questions before we end the call. He agreed hesitantly. He answered 2 of my questions and was in a hurry to end the call.
You could have sent me a questionnaire to get this initial interview done. Could have saved us both time and resources.
