I applied online. I interviewed at The Home Depot in May 2024
Interview
The Interview Process Consisted of 4 interviews with the 3rd and 4th interviews consisting of Assessments. The 1st and 2nd interview were a breeze--standard interview questions. The 3rd interview was an hour long Excel Assessment over Pivot Tables and vlookup. These questions were not extremely challenging but you do need to know how to perform these functions to pass onto the 4th interview. The 4th interview was 2 hours long with a Behavioral interview first then immediately after I was thrown into a Case Study. I was given data and told to answer prompts within the Excel Sheet they gave me. I was then to report my findings to 2 judges and gave recommendations.
During the interview process the Hiring Managers did help a lot to give tips and even scheduled a prep meeting for the 3rd and 4th interviews. They sent emails with information on how to succeed, and you should stick to this information. The STAR method in responding to questions is VERY important.

Question 1
Describe a time you had to handle a dispute in the workplace.
I applied through a staffing agency. I interviewed at The Home Depot (Atlanta, GA)
Interview
Can include some variation of 4 parts: phone call, Excel test, SIG panel, and case study. The phone call is for basic fit and vetting and is typically very short. The Excel test will cover skills like V-Lookup, Pivot Tables, and other basic functions like SUM and AVG. The SIG panel will be with two interviewers who will be grading your answer on a STAR scale, so preparation with Situation-Task-Action-Result stories is key. In the case study, there isn't one right answer - you'll be given a list of vendors or metrics and asked to offer some recommendations. What they're looking for is to see if you can engage with the material and think critically about the customer experience. Think about internal factors like price, inventory, competitor products/brands, promotions, etc. and external factors like weather, competitor stores, and market forces. With the case study, the most important thing to do is to make sure that you're talking through your reasoning and thought process because they want to understand how you think.

Question 1
Tell me about a time when you had to deliver bad news.
Was pretty straightforward. Know excel. Know how to answer situational questions with more detail v lookup pivot tables and x lookup. Excel test was pretty straightforward and easy. The hardest part was situational questions because they ask you more details on the situations to make sure you are not lying
