I applied online. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at The Home Depot in Mar 2012
Interview
I applied online for several different positions and stores and go a call from a regional office a week or two later. It was an easy and straight forward interview on the phone and i was scheduled for an interview with a local store. From there it was basic questions and a drug and background check. I got a call several weeks later for a job offer.

Question 1
I didn't understand why it took so long to get through their system and begin work.
You're technically 'hired' before you arrive. The problem is on the website you are only given vague options. Then when you go in, they say the position you want is not open.
Simple and asked if you’re familiar with style of work, possibly the easiest interview I’ve had. Just come with everything needed for background check in case of on the spot hire.
I applied in-person. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at The Home Depot in Feb 2023
Interview
I interviewed with 2 different managers. They seemed to be intelligent women and they were friendly. We went over the hours and pay and what the job would entail. Once I agreed they had me make an account and start up my background check and they said they will get back to me when the background check is finished. Also they said there will be a drug test.
