I applied online. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at The Home Depot (Baltimore, MD) in Jan 2016
Interview
Very informal, was awkward and unprofessional, we met at a McDonalds and was asked "Who would you sell a roof to in here?" When I asked the interviewer to clarify the interviewer got all hostile and irritable and reiterated "Who would you sell a roof to in here?!" After awkwardly surveying the mcdonald's I picked a large middle-aged person and said "Him. Because I bet he owns a house." This seemed to appease the hostility because the interviewer calmed down afterwards, muttered "good, good", and 5 minutes later the interview was over.
Strange.
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at The Home Depot (Pittsburgh, PA) in Feb 2019
Interview
Phone interview with someone is India (claiming to be in Atlanta), a bunch of standard questions and a lot of smoke and mirrors talk about the position and company, then a local manager will call you and meet you in a store.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
A lot of questions about the "hype" they give The Home Depot and a lot of asking if it sounded good. Should've been a red flag
I applied online. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at The Home Depot (Worcester, MA) in Jun 2016
Interview
5 minute phone call with recruiter followed by an almost immediate call from the sales manager. The interview itself was a bit of a joke and was mostly friendly chatter. Was offered job on the spot, shows how hard up they are for people to take this position.
