I applied online. I interviewed at The Every (Daly City, CA)
Interview
Very easy going process, the team was very kind and seemed to care about getting to know you and make sure we are a fit. I really liked the scientists I got to talk to and felt that they genuinely wanted to make a difference.
I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at The Every in Mar 2024
Interview
Recruiter reached out to schedule a meeting with the hiring manager. When I met with the manager, he was 5 minutes late and already in a foul mood. He didn't know whom I had spoken to already and seem irritated that I hadn't met with the recruiter prior to our meeting, asked one question about my history then basically wrote me off.
Additionally, he made it QUITE clear that he was disgusted with the company's mission of helping to end factory farming and kept ranting about how it wasn't a food company (kept bringing that up, unprompted). Not sure why he'd want to work at a startup that claims to have a cause behind it, but it does speak a lot about the company.

Question 1
Limiting my response to one employer I haven't been with in over a year, I was asked to tell about a time when I needed to create a process when things were messy.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at The Every (Daly City, CA) in Oct 2023
Interview
Very long, cumbersome and excessive. Two months, thirteen interviews, project homework to present strategy to a large group & onsite visit.
It was the most time consuming screening process I experienced in my 25+ years of career. They emphasized ‘kindness’ as their core value but at the end of the day, this didn’t feel kind at all. Especially when they took their time to inform that you didn’t get the job without a clear reason.
