I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at The Digital Banker (Singapore) in Jan 2025
Interview
Interview went smoothly and fast, the CEO is lovely and knows what he is doing and knows the business well to get straight to the point. We had a call.
Very rude and disrespectful hiring managers. Kept demanding more and more with no end in sight. Poor communication and lots of carrot dangling tactics to make candidates do more for nothing in return.

Question 1
Come for an in person interview with less than 1 day's notice
I applied online. I interviewed at The Digital Banker in Aug 2024
Interview
I rarely write reviews, but felt compelled to share my recent experience with this company. Alarm bells started going off when they requested an in-office interview on the same day, without considering whether candidates might need to request for time off from their employers or make other arrangements in advance. I kindly explained that my schedule was full and suggested rescheduling to a later date so that I could go into the interview more prepared. However, they insisted on an earlier date claiming that they were 'hiring urgently'.
I agreed to a compromise if the earlier interview could be conducted online. But on the same day the interview was scheduled, they hit me with a 1000-word written assignment that was to be completed before they could 'proceed with the interview'. To me, this indicated an utter disrespect for a candidate's time and seemed indicative of poor communication and management.
When I declined to complete the assignment under these circumstances, the hiring manager responded saying that they were 'testing my commitment to the company and role.' Now, I am not opposed to writing assessments, and have even prepared full-scale presentations for interviews AFTER rapport has been established with a first interview. Hiring managers forget that interviews are a two-way street, and candidates are in no way obliged to invest time and effort to companies that have not demonstrated that they would be worth working at. To those looking for a job, I would strong advise them to look elsewhere if they value their time and dignity.
