I applied online. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at The Cheesecake Factory
Interview
Applied online and got a call about one day later. Had a phone interview with a hiring manager who then scheduled me to come in for an in person interview a few days later. Was kind of nervous but shook it off before going in. There was an office space leased out to the company to go through their hiring process since there's a location being built at the mall. I wasn't nervous anymore until the hiring manager that came to get me showed interest in the girl sitting next to me. It was obvious that they knew each other and that she was waiting for him to interview her. I knew she would be hired and that my chances were lowered because of that. There were cubicles everywhere, where you could hear everyone else around you talking. Distracting. We sat four feet apart, face to face without any table between us. It made me feel very vulnerable. He asked some questions, appearing warm but he was extremely uninterested. I skipped through my answers and stuttered, feeling embarrassed about him looking like I was wasting his time. My qualifications are good, but they mean nothing in the face of a manager who simply has other things on his mind. He cut the interview short and dismissed me with the basic "we will either call or not in 24 hours, thank you for your time" and showed me the way out.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
How do you make someone feel comfortable after they come in and they are angry after a long day?
I applied in-person. I interviewed at The Cheesecake Factory (Glendale, WI) in Mar 2026
Interview
You initially interview with an assistant manager or something. It is a rather easy interview but then they say they will get back to you about setting up a second interview and they never do. Felt like the were giving me the run-around. Not professional.

Interview
Very easy interview process. I sat down with one of the shift managers and we went over job duties, my experience and availability. They mostly ask about reliability and availability.

Interview
3 interviews, first 2 pretty much just about availability, last one was more scenario questions such as what you would do if you noticed a guest wasn't having a good experience and how to better it. Also asked about past work history, specifically if you've worked in retail or fast food/a restaurant before
