You can tell a lot about the future of the company by the leaders it hires. Going by my experience of talking with the finance leadership for a director of finance position, I can say Campbell is not in great hands. I started the interview process with them in March of 2024 and over the course of next 5 months spoke with 9 different people and twice with the Hiring Manager. Every conversation went well from an interview perspective as suggested by the recruiter, but the Hiring manager just failed to make a decision. The scope of the role changed during the hiring process and the Hiring manager itself changed. That is understandable as company’s restructure. What amazes me is that they still haven’t closed the loop with me. I wonder if they are as indecisive when it comes to critical business decisions. If you want to work for an innovative firm that moves fast with changing market dynamics, avoid Campbell Soup and definitely avoid working with leaders who are indecisive.
