I applied online. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at The Boston Beer Company (Boston, MA)
Interview
Applied online and immediately got an email asking to schedule an automated 3-minute "personality test" (yellow flag...). The next day, I was asked to complete a HireVue recorded interview of several interview questions (orange flag..). It has been radio silence since then, I'm sure my application and recorded video with my personal information is just sitting in some HR inbox (red flag).
I would not apply to this company again. They make a big deal about valuing people, but the application process does not demonstrate that.
Boston Beer had one of the most unprofessional interview processes I’ve ever been through.
For context, the phone screen with the recruiter was fine. The next round with the hiring manager was then scheduled via text message, which seemed not very professional or organized to me. I then interviewed with the hiring manager, which went well in my view. Weirdly the hiring manager talked 90% of the time and only asked me two questions, one of which was “tell me about yourself”. Nonetheless, I was told clear next steps for another round and was excited to proceed. Days go by, crickets. I reached out to the recruiter and was given the runaround. More time goes by. I reach out again and am given the runaround yet again. Then I ultimately received a rejection email from an automated inbox. The kicker is the email said another candidate was chosen, yet the job was recently re-posted on both the BBC job site and LinkedIn, so is clearly not filled.
I’m ok if I wasn’t a great fit. It happens. Please just don’t bother to interview me next time if you’re only going to ask me two questions in an interview and then ghost me weeks later after providing clear next steps.
This whole process was disorganized and not professional. Disappointed all around.

Interview
Recruiter left a telephone message informing me that he would be 30 min. late for our scheduled call and then called 45+ min. late. He refused to answer basic questions about the position for me at the beginning of the call and I declined to continue. I WAS NOT IMPRESSED!
