      Development Interview

      19 Mar 2021
      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I interviewed at Teach for America

      Interview

Intense. Primarily focused on role playing out potential situations I could be in if I got the job. Wasn’t given much context for the situation. Unlike any 1st interview I’ve ever experienced. I wouldn’t have taken the job had it been offered based on the interview process.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

To role play certain scenarios. Not much context was given.

      Development Interview

      20 Oct 2009
      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Neutral experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Teach for America in Sept 2009

      Interview

Screening interview with recruiter - general 'fit' questions ('why TfA, why this position?); you're asked to rate yourself on their cultural norms; then one or two behavioral questions with follow up - in this case, I was asked "Which of these traits are you the strongest in?". Phone interview took about 45 minutes, follow up email within a week indicating I wouldn't move on in the process.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

Do you see the list of cultural norms (you're told to check them out before the interview)? Which of these are you the strongest in and why?
