There are 3 rounds of interview process. The 1st round is the HR introduction call and background check interview. Then, if all goes well the 2nd round would be Live coding and fully technical interview. And then, 3rd round is the technical and cultural Interview but less technical compared to 2nd round.

First call with recruiter, second call with engineers, then a live coding algorithm task that was not expected with the engineering manager who acted like he wasn't prepared for the call
I applied online. The process took 4 days. I interviewed at Taskworld (Tokyo) in Apr 2018
Interview
There are 4 round of interview:
1. Written aptitude test on my business sense and technical opinion on SAAS products
2. Casual phone interview with the hiring manager to get to know each other and our expectation to the position
3. Technical skype interview with the VP of engineering.
4. A take-home technical assignment was given and I have 48 hours to complete
Same as the other review on Glassdoor, I received the final technical assignment AFTER I was officially given the offer. It scares me a bit as I have already quit my previous job, started looking for apartment in Japan and told everyone I know that I will be moving to Japan soon.
It turns out the assignment was pretty standard and the interviewer informed me that I passed the test 2 days after submitting it. Later when I started the job, I realized that one candidate who started a month earlier, cannot pass the probation, and another candidate cannot pass the technical test so 2 members are gone before I even start working in the company.
I do think the technical test SHOULD be given before sending the offer. It is definitely something that the company can do better. However, legally speaking even if a candidate was hired, the company can still terminate the employment if he/she cannot pass probation (of course with some compensation).
Also, Taskworld's salary and benefit package is extremely competitive in the market. It makes sense that they want to take hire seriously and avoid keeping candidates who can't fit in. I will take it as a good sign of how they treasure talents.
