Recruiter Review — Simple and straightforward. The recruiter was friendly and communicative.
Hiring Manager — Discussed capabilities and potential fit. Easy enough conversation, and the hiring manager was grounded in where he sees the company going.
Unpaid Project — Listed as a 2-hour time frame, but realistically it takes slightly longer and requires a paid Loom subscription, so you're out a few dollars if you've never used it.
4-Panel Interview — The team was great and knowledgeable.
CEO — Never got to speak with him.
I was told by the recruiter — and have the email to confirm — that "they want to move forward and the Hiring Manager will be speaking with the CEO to review final steps." Then I received a "not interested" response.
I'm not exactly sure what led to that decision — maybe a lack of funding or a change in plans — but after going through the full process and speaking with everyone, I would have appreciated an email or call that wasn't a generic message.
I had other options and due to TapCart's process taking slightly longer, They had prompted me to "accept an offer and then turn it down when you get ours." Never did get their offer.
