Terrible experience overall. I wasn't given any opportunity at all to ask my own questions during the first round, although there was still plenty of minutes in the booked timeslot. She asked some generic questions and I got the feeling she didn't even listen to my answers. The whole point of the first round was "we offer this much money, are you fine with it?" and the whole round took around 15 minutes. The technical round was even worse. We were supposed to do some pair programming by refactoring an existing code block and then do a bit of system design by drawing diagrams. Whenever I asked a question that I have multiple different alternatives to proceed, I got the same answer "which one would you choose and why?" with a salty tone, I have been in countless job interviews in both sides of the table within well-known software companies and I can comfortably say, I don't think the interviewer was fit for the job. Faced some generic questions which can be answered various ways, but he was looking for a silver bullet in his own head without giving any hints about his own thought process. It was 1.5h round. I was frustrated by this looking-down attitude after 1-hour, and it was visible in the tone of my voice. I suspect this is the reason I couldn't pass. They gave me 5 minutes to ask my own questions at the end of technical round. One of the questions I asked was "how is a regular day for a software developer in talabat?", the answer I get was "it's hard to say, how is it in Tesla?" (I work in another car manufacturer) Wtf is this answer, seriously :D The attitude was the same for other questions. Very unprofessional for European standards, zero sense of belonging of employees, zero friendliness.

The process took 2 weeks. HR call Design Interview Coding round The interviews were very easy and the interviewers were good to talk to. The recruiter on the other hand is the most annoying and unprofessional person I have ever come in contact with in this industry. At first, he messaged on LinkedIn a dozen times asking for my resume and calling me on my phone. As soon as the design interview was done, I was supposed to get a feedback, a call was scheduled but no call happened that day. This was just the start. I did not pass the design interview, still he didn't tell me, I spent time preparing for the coding round and the next day went through it as well. No respect for candidate's time, your interviewers might have nothing productive to do, but others do. Then again, the guy ghosted, I messaged him on LinkedIn and what looked like a pity on me, another call for feedback was scheduled, and guess what, ghosted again. Such stupid and non sense behavior, obviously I never followed up again. I wonder how people like this get a job in the industry and how, if they do, they succeed. But this is in line with the reviews of the company in Glassdoor. Btw, never get a rejection email or any kind of feedback. This is what I expect from a worthless company, and not a subsidiary of a listed German company. I believe this is how they work in UAE.
