The first step of the interview process was a screening phone call, which took place just a few days after my application was submitted. The recruiter was very well prepared and gave an excellent overview of the role, the company, work environment, benefits, and next steps in the process.
About a week later, I had a virtual interview with the hiring manager, which lasted an hour. The interviewer went through an exhaustive list of standard questions, some of which were tailored to this specific job.
The following week, I visited the site for a tour of the facilities and a few more in-person interviews. These interviews included people from the team and other related functional areas.
A week later, I received a phone call that the hiring manager moved forward with other candidates. However, one person I previously interviewed with was interested in continuing the interview process for a similar role on their team. After a brief virtual interview with this other manager, I was offered a position on their team two days later.
