The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Taco Bell in Jun 2009
Interview
The manager offered me a free meal at the time I turned in my application. I asked for a time to do the interview and surprisingly I ended up having it that evening.
The interview consisted of general questions:
Why are you interested in working with us?
Have you worked for Yum! before? Do you have customer service experience?
People seemed kind and very attentive. (Although later I discovered that that's the very essence of their culture, when in reality deep inside they're very stressed, overworked, underpaid and without benefits).
I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Taco Bell (Brighton, MA) in Mar 2026
Interview
I was scheduled do have an interview with the regional manager Israel, however when I arrived, he wasn’t there. Instead, I was interviewed by the manager of that location (unfortunately I’ve forgotten her name but she was really nice and cool). She told me about the work and about how that specific location was a fairly easy job. I was asked about my schedule, which I confirmed was open and flexible, and if I would be going on vacation this summer, which I would not be. I was told that Israel would contact me later that day to set up a proper in person interview sometime later. Over a week later I receive an email telling me that they would be hiring someone who “more closely fit their needs.” At no point in the original interview or application process was I asked about my experience, if I had I would have told them that I had over 5 years experience in retail and 2 years experience cleaning kitchens. I tried reaching out to see why I had been rejected when it seemed pretty obvious that the person in charge of hiring wasn’t doing their job properly, and unsurprisingly, I never heard back from Taco Bell.
they called me and i went in. they asked basic questions about customer service, if i used a POS register before, and if i had previous experience in the food industry
I applied through other source. I interviewed at Taco Bell (Michigan Center, MI)
Interview
I met with the manager for a quick conversation about my availability, past experience, and why I liked the company. The discussion was straightforward and friendly, and the whole interview felt efficient, low‑pressure, and surprisingly comfortable overall.
