There were rounds of interviews. I felt like interviewers were fair and asked a mix of questions about experience and skills. Overall it was a good experience and learning oppertunity.
I applied online. I interviewed at TJ Maxx (Boston, MA)
Interview
Step 1: 30 minute phone screening asking standard questions about experience, skills, projects and going through resume. Asked why tjmaxx, why retail, and my experience with different types of data and data science tools. Step 2 technical interview: The technical interview wasn't too difficult expect for the people running the interview. The manager was a little rude and it seemed everytime I answered something correctly he tried to throw me off with an even more challenging question almost as if he wanted my interview to go horribly. He was super condescending and consistently tried to brush his ego by showing he knows more than. Which he probably does the role was entry level but why be rude? When I was writing my code they wouldn't give me anytime to think and kept intergecting their own opinions on how I should write my code, which for an entry level position only made me more nervous.
