I applied through an employee referral. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at TEKsystems (Detroit, MI) in Sept 2019
Interview
There were 3 interviews in total and a “half day” shadow where you sit with a technical recruiter and see what they do in a day and pick their brain. The interview was easy they just wanted to get to know me personally, they didn’t ask any “tell me about a time” questions it was “tell me about your life” “where did you grow up and how did you get to where you are now” The interview itself was easy and an ok experience. I did not take the job because the starting pay is insulting. The recruiter I spoke to for my initial phone interview said they started at $13.50/hr plus OT and after the training period of typically 6-9 months but up to a year it goes to 50k base plus commission. Come to find out 3 interviews and a half day shadow later the starting pay was actually $12.25 and when you factor in the mandatory 10 hours of OT the average per hour is around $13.50. I couldn’t accept that being that I was leaking a job making 75k. I get that there is potential to make a whole lot more but the initial hourly rate would not have covered my bills. And it’s sad because I was excited about the position and the company.

I applied in-person. I interviewed at TEKsystems (Stockholm, Stockholm) in Jun 2026
Interview
It was challenging but both recruiters were supportive and kind. They really listened to your answers and ask more questions out of your answers. It seems like they want to hire people out of they personalities not experience.
