I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at TCE Company (Chicago, IL) in May 2018
Interview
After applying online the first step was an automated phone screen launched via Indeed. 10 days later the next step was callback from company representative to further screen candidates.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
5 questions were provided ahead of automated process. Very basic: tell about your background, why are you interested, how can you contribute, etc.
Follow up caller was obviously not familiar with answers given in the recorded call. If he had listened to/known the answers from automated call, he wouldn't have asked the questions he did or been confused by my interest or background. He was unfamiliar with major Fortune 100 companies in his own area that appear on my job history. He didn't know the definition of "consultant." Asked me to explain what it means. Made a very poor impression.
IMPORTANT: This company needs to learn how to write job descriptions. What they are calling a "Client Services Rep" is actually a prospecting telemarketer job (probably cold call). Nothing the follow up caller said matched with the posted job description.
