I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Systems Made Simple (Austin, TX) in Aug 2014
Interview
Several managers participated in the process. Not all people were in the room at the same time. It was a bit repetitive when similar questions were asked. The position I interviewed for was not fully defined and this explained why questions ranged from soft skills through to technical skills.
I applied online. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at Systems Made Simple (Austin, TX) in Sept 2014
Interview
SMS conducted a phone screening, which was extensive. This was followed by an informal interview with the recruiter and a formal teleconference with two hiring managers, followed by one in person interview held at the company business site with the same hiring managers. The whole process took less than 3 weeks, with an offer presented just days following the final interview.

I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Systems Made Simple
Interview
Typical interview questions. Questions were low ball in nature. It takes about 30 days to get in the door of the VA after you are hired and another 60 days for all the formal background checks. The pain is the long wait. They don't have a formal process. It still feels like a small to medium size company that is happy to get a body in the seat to collect money from the government contract.
