Online interview - the team was late to the interview and disorganised. They didn’t ask any follow up questions and didn’t enjoy hearing any questions about the company itself.
They then completely ghosted after the first interview which is highly unprofessional and lazy.
Their website and current marketing approach is pretty lackluster and they were fairly ambiguous on what they wanted someone to come in and do for them.
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Syncio (Melbourne) in Feb 2025
Interview
I went through the hiring process and received a formal job offer from Syncio. After reviewing the contract, I asked a few reasonable questions regarding overtime expectations, performance reviews, and wellness days that were mentioned in the interview but not reflected in the agreement. Instead of addressing these questions, the offer was revoked.
There were also red flags in the contract, particularly regarding the notice period. The company required employees to give a 4-week notice, but they could terminate someone with significantly less notice, especially during the probation period. This imbalance in job security raised concerns about how employees are valued.
What stood out as unprofessional was the lack of clear communication. The founder never responded to my follow-up email, nor was the offer officially revoked in writing—it was done over the phone instead. This raised concerns about how decisions are made within the company and the overall transparency in their hiring process.
Candidates should be aware that asking standard employment questions may not be welcomed here. If you’re considering an offer from Syncio, I’d recommend getting everything clarified upfront and in writing before committing.
