I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Symphonized (Brooklyn, NY) in Dec 2017
Interview
I was contacted shortly after sending in my resume and had an in-person interview the same week. The location is very dodgy, I ended up on the wrong side of the huge warehouse building per instructions from some employees of a different company outside. After calling Symphonized to find out where they were, I was told to find "the door by the green dumpster". Lovely. Another 4 flights of (broken) stairs and I arrived. It's a small space and I believe they manufacture the product next door. I was politely offered water and a free pair of their headphones. The office was full of USSR memorabilia (quite unprofessional). The person interviewing me was one of the two brothers that own the company. The other asked me one or two questions and then left to run some errands. We went over my resume and I was told what the position entails. They do not offer health benefits, or any for that matter, apart from apparently some days off. I was told I would get a call back on a specific date and it's been nearly 2 weeks since, so needless to say, they ghosted me (yet again, very professional). When I called a few days after not hearing back after the expected date, I was told that they were "busy" and that was the last I heard from them.
