Initial screening was quite casual and easy. The next phase was a heavy take-home assignment that required creating forecast models and financial statements based on that forecast.
The expectation was that the assignment would be assessed and then you would proceed to speak with each of the C-suite members. Within hours of completing and submitting the assignment, I received a default rejection email indicating I was no longer in the running, having been in touch directly with the recruiter the entire time prior to submission. No feedback or context on what could have possibly been an issue with the assignment.
Beware that I believe this employer is simply using potential candidates' submissions for their own benefit, with no intention to actually hiring anyone. A caution to all candidates that, if you do choose to submit anything as part of the interview/hiring process, please password-protect your work, removing visibility of formulas and copyright yor Excel files!
