The original recruiter, Craig, was absolutely fantastic. Very positive and upbeat, genuinely seems to enjoy his job and if it wasn’t for him, the interview process itself is a bit insane for the recruiter roles. Phone screen, recorded interview for manager, meeting with Hiring Managers, then PowerPoint for managers with questions. It seems fun, but the PowerPoint part for me was strange-you we’re selling yourself for Swoon but it also felt like they wanted to know truly how much were you willing to sell yourself TO Swoon. From all the info I was given, this recruiting is less about candidate experience and more about the sales of selling the candidate to the company your staffing for, which is understandable to an extent. It’s a staffing agency, but looking back, there was a lot of emphasis on how many hours and grind one would have to do for just $40K a year.
I did not get an offer, which I was super bummed about at the time, but looking back with the interview process itself and the workload for the salary, I’m glad I didn’t.
Overall, Craig was great. Culture on the surface seemed solid, but expect high workloads and possible burnout very quickly.
