I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Switch Consulting (Birmingham, England) in Sept 2016
Interview
The first stage was an informal coffee and a chat with one of the managers.
After that I met with a director to talk through my CV and experience as well as an informal chat in to my interests etc.
Third stage was more 'competency based'. I was asked to act out a role play around registering a candidate on our system. The interviewers said they were looking for how I picked up on commercial information, my tone on the phone and approach to a new candidate.
I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Switch Consulting (London, England) in May 2014
Interview
I was initially called by the Talent Manager who spent half an hour with me on the phone, I was really impressed and surprised that she had invested that amount of tine in the first call and really built rapport with me and answered my questions. As I was out of work I was able to go in the next day for my 2nd stage , I really enjoyed this. The final stage was the most challenging, meeting the directors and owners of the business, I was asked to present back to them on my understanding of what recruitment is. It was challenging but I enjoyed it and I passed ad was offered the same day .
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
What is your coping mechanism when you have a bad day?
What do you get out of bed for in the morning?
What are your 3 best dance moves?
Talk me through your leadership style?
The above questions are a very small snap shot across the 3 processes, we ask a lot of questions in recruitment!!!
I liked the fact that they were very open questions and some were more fun, some were professional and some were personal but not overly so, it got me thinking about my behaviours and what matters to me.
