I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Swissport (Sterling, VA) in Sept 2017
Interview
I was contacted by their recuriting agent by email first and had 10-15min phone interview next day i confirmed my interest.
During the phone interview, recruiting agent explained the position and went over my resume. She does not ask you any interview question. At the end, i was invited for the in-person interview.
In-person interview was very chill.
First, interviewer started with asking me why i wanted to work for the airlines. Then, she took a look at my resume and asked me few questions about my education and experiences.
It seemed customer service experience is what matters. I asked few questions like how is the working environment, etc. Half of the interview was her talking to answer my questions. She liked me and told me she thinks i am going to do well as PSA.
I was hired on the spot. If they do not ask you to stay after the interview, you are not hired.
They require tons of documents for background screening because you will be working at the airport.
I declined the offer at the end because i thought it is not efficient to work 5 days with 4 hour shift.
+HR office ladies are friendly and the nicest! However, their assistants aren't professional and don't care about their and your work..
I would not recommend working here. My experience from hiring to onboarding was very poor and felt extremely rushed, which raised concerns about the company’s level of organization.
I initially spoke with an interviewer on Friday, who scheduled me to meet with the hiring manager on Monday. When I arrived, there was a group of candidates and a short wait before we were seen. The hiring manager asked me a brief question about why I wanted to work there and then immediately told me I was hired. The onboarding process was conducted in a group setting with everyone at the same time.
Afterward, I was instructed to complete a drug test and obtain a badge, all within a very short timeframe. The entire process was completed within just a few hours, which felt disorganized and impersonal.
When I asked questions during the process, staff were unable to provide clear answers. After my training was scheduled, I reached out to both the training manager and HR via email but received no response. I even went to the office in person, where the front desk staff appeared very disorganized—taking notes on a napkin, which did not inspire confidence.
Overall, the lack of communication, structure, and professionalism made this a frustrating experience.
I applied online. I interviewed at Swissport (Sydney)
Interview
The interview process consisted of two stages. First, we participated in a group interview where we were given activities to complete as a team. We then presented our work to the interviewers, who assessed our skills based on how we performed during the activity, including teamwork, communication, and problem-solving.
Following this, we had a one-on-one interview where we were asked individual questions and had the opportunity to discuss our experience and suitability for the role in more detail.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
One of the questions they asked me during the one-on-one interview was about my availability, including the days and hours I was able to work.
Jennifer was very nice and explained everything about the job perfectly. She explained the benefits, what type of work we will be doing, and what to expect from the job.
