      Software Engineering Interview

      9 Mar 2016
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Palo Alto, CA
      No offer
      Positive experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied through university. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at SurveyMonkey (Palo Alto, CA) in Feb 2016

      Interview

Had a 20 minute call with the recruiter to talk about my interest and learn more about the company. Then went onto a technical phone call with an engineer(got asked one technical question). This was about an hour long. I then went onsite where I interviewed with 4 different engineers. I thought I did really well but I did not get an offer. The recruiting process was smooth and everyone was really nice.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

Pretty simple questions. Can't say what they were but if you read cracking the coding interview they appear on there.

      Application

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at SurveyMonkey in Nov 2015

      Interview

I sent my resume to an employee I know, and she sent it to a recruiter, who reached out to me to schedule a first (non-technical) phone interview. After the first phone call, I did a technical phone interview, and then three technical Skype interviews. The recruiters and engineers I spoke with were all incredibly nice and warm. The recruiter I worked with most closely called me to tell me personally they had decided not to move forward.
