I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Sun Tan City (Dubuque, IA) in Jan 2019
Interview
Indeed application. After initial application, received a couple automated emails requesting that I fill out their native application on their website even though I had filled out the indeed app + supplied my resume. The 2nd email was requesting that I take an aptitude test. One of the tests was timed, 24 questions in 12 minutes. The questions were an array of critical thinking + math + grammar + attention to detail. I was not able to complete all of the questions in the 12 minutes. I then received an email from a fellow salon Director from a different salon in the same city. She scheduled my first of 3 interviews. I had a phone screen interview with her, then was passed on to the training director to have an in person interview. A few days later I was contacted by the director of operations for the entire franchise in my area, to schedule a final in person interview. Two days after I had my final interview with the director of ops- they contacted my references. I am writing this review before I was offered an opportunity for employment. Will update if offered.
Tell me about a time you attempted to meet a deadline or goal and we’re not able to. In addition tell me what behaviors you have implemented to meet that goal or correct that behavior going forward.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Sun Tan City (Jersey City, NJ) in Aug 2023
Interview
Went very well. Everyone was very imfortmative and explained the day to day tasks of this role. They wanted to learn about my leadership style and background and my previous selling experience and customer service.

I applied online. I interviewed at Sun Tan City (Nashville, TN) in Nov 2020
Interview
Called for an interview the day i applied. The interview was an hour long and 3 pages worth of questions. I was then called back a week later for a second interview and told my qualifications were more suited for a higher position, i originally applied for a manager role. Again the interview was 3 pages long and took about an hour. I was then called back for a 3rd interview where i was told for a director position the pay is $13 hourly. Coming from a position of $20 i could not take such a pay cut and especially to be a Director this was very disappointing.
