Hired through a friend, they sent a technical task that took about 1 day to complete. After the task, they rejected giving the excuse of having too many qualified applicants.

The task itself was interesting (real-world usecase) and well thought out by the team. The 2-day deadline was quite generous, which is a bonus, since you can spend some time really polishing your solution. The tech interview and (virtual) onsite were all nicely paced, and you get to meet quite a few people, all very willing to help you paint a clear picture of the company, its vision, and how they approach tackling challenges.
