I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Stryker (Honolulu, HI) in Dec 2023
Interview
So, a recruiter contacted me on LinkedIn. She's a chief talent acquisition partner. She messaged me about a job as a security engineer at Stryker. She said, "You're a great fit for this job, let's talk." So, I agreed and we set up a meeting.
When we met, she seemed a bit arrogant. She immediately asked about salary. I know what security engineers usually earn, so I told her my salary. I wasn't being greedy, just comparing. But she said they couldn't pay that much. I was disappointed because I really wanted the job.
Instead of interviewing me, she suggested lower-level positions in a rude way. It was frustrating because she didn't understand that different companies pay differently. Now, every time I apply to Stryker, my application gets rejected right away. I think it's because she didn't like that I said their offer was too low.
