      Director of Partnerships Interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Strive (New York)

      Interview

Interview process started off strong but ended poorly. Good communication from their HR person initially. Got screening questions then moved to first round interview. Was invited for a second round with the supervisor for this position (a VP). Seems like at this point the process moved out of HR's hands and I think that's when it went downhill. The VP reached directly for scheduling and sent dates that didn't match the days (eg Monday the 1st when the 1st is a Tuesday). Minor error, it happens. But after confirming a time, I got a calendar invite for a date/time that wasn't among those I had selected. By chance I was available and, again, dismissed the error. At this time, it's clear he is busy and overwhelmed. Interview itself was comfortable and clear. The same day, I was invited for the next round which was an assignment. Submitted the assignment. Never received confirmation that the assignment was received but 3 working days later, I did get an email that said they were still interested in my candidacy but that the process had been delayed. Email said I should hear in about two weeks. Never heard back from them.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

The position is full-time, salary exempt. You will be required to come into the office at least twice a week. Can you meet this requirement? In the future, we may ask all employees to resume coming into the office five days a week, Monday – Friday. Will you be able to do so? How many years of direct experience do you have? Why do you want to work at STRIVE?
