The initial interview with the Marketing Director was professional and well-structured. The communication at the early stages was smooth, and the questions asked were relevant to the role.
Cons:
The process took a turn for the worse after the assessment stage. I was asked to complete a detailed three-part assignment (newsletter, social media strategy, and a product walkthrough), which required a significant time investment and strategic thinking.
I presented my work to the Product Director in a final interview, where I explained my reasoning and product marketing frameworks in detail. However, after that, the company completely disappeared. Despite a follow-up email sent a week after the interview, I received zero response. It has now been over a month of total silence.
Please, respect candidates' time. Asking for a deep-dive assessment and then ghosting a candidate after a final presentation is unprofessional and damaging to your employer brand. If a candidate invests hours of work into your company, the bare minimum you owe them is a standard rejection email, if not constructive feedback.
