After reading the post on my college's career site, I had sent in my application via Email. After about a month, I had gotten a response. After more correspondence (about 2-3 emails) I scheduled an interview. My interviewers were very friendly and the overall interview was good. There was even a few laughs here and there. After a few days, I had gotten the position. I've been working here for the past month. Here at StoryCorps, the needs of the employees have a clear priority. HR has done a very good job on making StoryCorps a pleasant place to work. Everyone is friendly, there's not a hint of "office politics", there are events and there are even treats in the kitchen from time to time. There is also a focus on the professional development of the interns; which is something I'm very grateful for. It's not often that companies pay interns AND try to make them the best people they can professionally be. My only real criticism is how messy certain places are; but I hear that Administration is working on this and I have faith they'll get it done. Overall, I can't recommend this organization enough for it's culture and it's real care for the people that work there.
