      Paralegal Interview

      19 Jun 2011
      Anonymous employee
      Las Vegas, NV
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Easy interview

      Application

The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Stokes & Stokes (Las Vegas, NV) in Apr 2011

      Interview

After being layed off, I faxed over my resume. Two days later I received a call from one of the owners of the firm and was offered an interview for three days later. I really couldn't afford it, but I went out and bought a new outfit to wear to the meeting. I researched the firm online, so I would have some idea of their background and thought of some questions I would ask. My experience has taught me that it's critical to ask the person interviewing you some questions, like; "if hired, what would be some of my first job duties", or "if hired, would I be filling a vacancy or was the position newly created?". When asked how much I was looking to make, I asked for $1.50 more than I was just making, only because I knew that I was previously being under paid. After the interview was over, she told me that I would be hearing from her either way by the next days' close of business. Three hours after I got home, the phone rang and it was the attorney I had just interviewed with, offering me the job at the wage I had requested.
