Basically, it never happened.
I sent my resume to them, and then was contacted a few days later by one of their recruiters. I was scheduled for a phone call with the hiring manager a couple of days later. Then, a couple of hours before the scheduled meeting, the hiring manager contacted me and asked to delay the meeting for a few hours because they had a smartphone issue which needed to be fixed. My calendar was open, so I agreed. A couple of hours later, I received a second email from the hiring manager, asking for another delay for the same reason. I said I was fine with that. Shortly, yet another email came asking when I could talk to them again. I said that I was open that day, but my schedule was full the rest of the week and I would prefer just to do it that day. I never heard back from the hiring manager, even after I sent 2 emails to follow up.
I then contacted the recruiter, who told me that the reason for the lack of response was that they were in year end, and needed some time. The recruiter then said she would contact me after New Years. I never heard back, and emailed the recruiter, with no response. Meanwhile, the company relisted the position on Indeed.
They clearly had no intention to interview me, and I have no reason why. They wasted a whole bunch of my time, and never even had the courtesy to just say "oh no, we're not interested". Now, some people might say that no response is a response. Fair enough, but then don't waste my valuable time.
By the way, this company was known as Bodega until mid-2018. Google them, and you'll see why they were forced to change their name. I'd be very wary, and the company's business plan is dubious, and while they do have some penetration of their machines in the Bay Area, this probably won't fly in the rest of the country. Proceed at your own risk...
