I applied in-person. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at Steven Madden (Boulder, CO) in May 2014
Interview
I came in and dropped off a resume at the Boulder location, and the manager asked me to sit and interview right away. The interview was pretty standard for a retail sales position, but the manager was really nice and close to my age so it felt really easy talking to her.
Asked a long list of questions from a sheet of pre-written questions, but felt like a long thorough conversation about my background. Interviewer was overall very friendly. Only one interview. I got the job and accepted.
I applied online. I interviewed at Steven Madden (New York, NY)
Interview
The interview process was quick and easy. I enjoyed my conversation and it was pretty much just straight forward questions. Probably only took 20 minutes max since the questions are around what you like and what you don’t like, fashion sense and experience with customers and scenarios.
To provide an impactful response, give a concise overview, divide your routine into logical morning, afternoon, evening time blocks, explain activities chronologically using transitional phrases, quantify with specific details, and highlight any unique or interesting aspects that set you apart.
