Stepcase interview questions

Pre-interview exercise successfully completed then invited to a phone interview. After the phone interview I received an email asking for free work (basically an entire content product strategy). When I politely declined and sent through some similar examples from earlier project, another email arrived saying they completely understand but now they would like a different kind of free work (2 full pieces of longform written content that would take about a week). Again I declined and never heard from them again.
