Got connected through a 3rd party recruiter. Had 3 rounds of interviews with 8 people. Overall OK, but I feel like my time was not well spent.
1st round was great, met with another DS and DE who mostly asked about my work history, ML projects, and background. They seemed pretty bright and engaged with their work.
2nd round was a 1-on-1 with the CTO. It was odd, he didn't seem very engaged and put me on hold for 15 minutes to "put out a fire" in the middle of my answering his questions.
3rd round was positive, met with a few SWEs, data, and product folks. Pretty friendly teams, no tech challenge.
Here's where it got weird. I received all positive feedback and the recruiter was dangling the prospect of an offer - then radio silence for a month. I then saw them post the same job to another contracting site. I brought that up to the recruiter who said "good news! they want to hire you for a contract role." Two weeks of silence and I ended up accepting an offer elsewhere.
I don't know what happened, I'm sure there was a good reason behind this I did not hear about. Or maybe they weren't ready to hire and backtracked. However, based on my experience I can't recommend interviewing here.
