One line suggestion if you don't want to read all :
Don't apply to this company. They are not capable of paying enough.
My experience :
First HR will mail asking for your CTC, Expected CTC and Notice period.
I have 8 years of Exp and My CTC is 8.5 LPA and ECTC is 13 LPA. That is 40% raised I have asked for. HR did not ask me whether my ECTC is negotiable or not. She scheduled the interview directly. So I thought they are ok with my ECTC.
First-round was conducted by the CEO. Asked me about my AWS certification, my projects, Database, Angular. I cleared it.
Second-round was conducted by senior developers. They asked more about Spring and Database. In the end, they asked about team handling experience. I cleared this round as well.
Both the rounds took 3 hours in total.
In the evening I got a call for HR discussion.
She asked me typical HR questions like a dream company, dream job, why do you want to join us. You will not believe she took 30 mins. 30 MINUTES. SHE WAS TALKING ROUND and ROUND and I feel like she was a little hesitant for salary discussion.
Finally, she said about my expectation. I told her I have already informed that I am expecting 13 LPA. Then she laughed sarcastically. Then she acted like calculating something and then offered me 10 LPA. I WAS SHOCKED. I FELT DISAPPOINTED. (I felt like I am SBI bank and they are Vijay Malya). Then I laughed sarcastically as she can listen. That's best I could do.
I told "I am clearly refusing this offer. I am very disappointed. ". I hang up on her.
Suggestion to the management :
1) Please reject the candidates if they are not technically capable. But don't belittle them by offering petty salaries.
2) How dare you waste someone's time if you already know that you are not going to offer what they want?
To HR :
Don't laugh at someone's salary expectations.
