I applied online. I interviewed at State of Michigan (Grand Rapids, MI) in Nov 2019
Interview
2 interviews: most likely the head of the department and another supervisor from another location of Michigan. The interview process seemed intimidating. The interviewer answered all of my great questions, so toward the end, I had to make up more good questions.
The panel emailed a list of questions prior to the interview. The interview questions were pretty standard and I appreciated the early heads up. They must be extremely overwhelmed in their office because it took months to get an interview after my application went in.

I applied in February and interviewed in August. The Interview was via teams. I received a writing test and list of interview questions 30 mins prior to the interview. I received a call for a job offer within a week or two after interviewing.
